UF Generic BSN 2011

Hey any pre-nursing students out there who applied for UF Generic BSN fall 2011... i didn't see a thread out there so i figured i would start my own. If there are any current nursing students any advice and what was your GPA getting into the program. Thanks a lot and good luck to everyone.

still haven't gotten mine yet :/ figured it wouldn't take long for it to reach Tampa. The anticipation is killing me. Are you all transfer students? I'm already a UF student and from what I've been told it's very very competitive especially if you're a transfer so don't feel discouraged. We'll all be nurses one way or another! Wishing you all the best of luck!

Hi, I live about an hour away from UF and I have applied for the 2011 fall term. Should I be worried if I have not recieved my letter? If they were sent out Tuesday I should have recieved a letter by now. Im hoping it didn't get lost in the mail or anything.

I live about 4 hours away from UF and have yet to receive a letter. If I don't get anything tomorrow, I'll be calling up UF to see if there's a problem. The anticipation is absolutely killing me!

My overall GPA is 3.98 and Prereq. GPA is 4.0.

Have you recieved your letter yet?

ya I got it in Tampa on friday (the 17th), have some people still not gotten their letters?? Craziness! The post office needs to get it together so everyone can relax.

I just got my rejection letter yesterday. :crying2: absolutely devestated.

I got in, I don't know how but I did :) I got my mail last week (Friday, I think)

But I was really stressed at the beginning of the week when I got my rejection for UCF and was crying my heart out at work since that's where I was all day.

Anyways, I wish I could have met all of you from this forum because you all have been so helpful and supportive. I wish you all the best!!

A question to nursing students or if any pre-nursing knows: is it possible to work part-time as LPN or other part-time while in nursing school? Or be a leader of a school community services?

Are you UF student or a transfer? I have asked about that and current nursing student said it depends on the person. I met a girl who works 20hrs a week and is doing nursing. Then i met another girl who said she had to quit her job... all i know is i plan on having a job.... so if you feel like you can handle it then GO FOR IT. Also for those who didn't get in STAY positive....... someone once told me that "the best is yet to come" :D
