UF Generic BSN Fall 2009 Applicants

I saw a few threads for the Accelerated BSN, but none for the Generic BSN. Does anybody know when Fall 2009 applicants recieve their acceptance letters? I heard from one source that it was sometime in May.

Also, I was just kind of curious what everybodys GPA was etc. and what school you are applying from?

Is it true that UF gives priority to the applicants that took their prerequisites there versus someone who took them at a community college and is trying to transfer?? I heard that they DO show priority to their current students..........is that true or just a rumor???????

I'm not sure ...

I'm sure some people

from CC get in anyways..

but the majority are usually

UF students

Hi! I have not yet received a letter either...I'm a UF student and have a 4.0 Nursing and 3.8 overall. My friend who is currently in the BSN at UF said that last year, the cut off Nursing GPA was a 3.3 and that according to the advisors, nearly everyone who had over that was accepted. I'm not sure if the cut off was for UF students only or if that included transfer students as well? She also said that the cut off may be slightly higher this year due to changes in class size. I'm pretty sure we find out around the last week in May or the first week in June...good luck!!! Please let me know if anywhere else hears anything!!! :)

Hi! I emailed my advisor 2 days ago and he said that "decisions will go out very soon." Based on that, it'll probably be a couple more days before we hear anything because it seemed like they hadn't even been sent out when I asked him...hopefully it's not too much longer...I'm going crazy waiting to find out! :sniff:

I have friends who went there, and if I remember correctly, they found out at the end of June... but that was 2 years ago

Oh I really hope it's not the end of June. The wait is grinding on my nerves, I don't know if I can handle having to go another 3 weeks. At least, you have prepared me for the possibility. Good luck to everyone, I hope we all get in.

Decisions are out!

My friend got in with a 3.3!

But I have yet to receive anything in the mail..

Decisions are out?! OMG i'm nervous too! I haven't gotten anything yet, but I will definitely start stalking my mailman now that I know it's coming. :)
