I haven't seen a thread for the traditional BSN program for fall of 2019, so I decided to make one! Applications opened November 9th!
Here's a few stats about me!
In December, I will graduate with my AA from College of Central Florida so I will be applying as a transfer student!
My cumulative GPA is a 3.5
My pre req GPA is a 3.7
Any nursing students that have been admitted, do you have any advice/suggestions for applications? I saw that this year is the first year we have to take the HESI A2 exam, but anything helps!
I am also applying to UCF's nursing program. I haven't decided on any others but I need to look into a few more.
This wait is killllling me. Like it makes sense for them to wait until final grades come out so there aren't a bunch of changes with people failing classes, but still I feel like they should have it pretty set before that and then just have to make slight changes.
What I don’t like is that all other schools already know. So even if you did apply and were accepted at another school, you will probably miss the cutoff date to accept because you’re hoping to get accepted at UF.

Agreed! But I think UF is having finals week this week. I'm at Valencia in Orlando and our finals were last week and grades were finalized yesterday. UF still has to finish and finalize grades

I agree completely. I go to FSU and am on the waitlist for their program now and will hear from them May 9th about the final decision and will probably have to accept pretty quickly. I was hoping I'd hear from UF on May 10th so I could make a decision about which one I wanted to do (assuming I got into both) without having already been taking summer classes and have a lease signed. I get UF doesn't have you take summer classes for the program, but that's not the case with everyone and it'd just be nice to know everything.

Is it really that close? I would like to think they can look at GPA and current semester grades and pretty much know.
Has anyone had to put in a seat deposit for another nursing program? I put one for another university just in case I don’t get accepted into UF
I was accepted at UCF Orlando program. I haven’t had to put a seat deposit down, but I have started the process of filling out forms and getting drug tested for that program in case I am not accepted at UF. I also had to renew my lease in Orlando which was a bummer so I’ll have to find someone to take it over if I decide to go to UF. Hoping I don’t have to wait around much longer!
