I've read in UF's Alligator that UF CON has like 2.6 or 2.7 average GPA (the article's about the lower the college's gpa because the program is hard, the higher earning potential after graduation. It compared high GPA at graduation in majors like art and English but low earning potential. I digress)
But in the UF's CON website's fun facts, it says that current BSN's GPA average is between 3.5-3.6. So which is it?
And does the UF CON count cumulative GPA (pre-nursing) or only post-nursing?
I realize I could ask the CON adviser but I just don't want to appear snoopy. But if fellow gators or former gator nurses know, please do share!

To be able to get accepted in any of UF's nursing program you have to have at least a 2.8.The average for the last Generic BSN applicants was around a 3.7 -3.6.You will most likely not get in with anything below a 3.0.Hope this helps!

You prob won't get in with anything lower than a 3.5 unless your test scores, resume and lor are amazing.
Thanks for your input.
I'm asking about current nursing students, not students applying to the program.

sorry I'm not a current student either but UF is practically the most competive nursing program in Florida to get into, as is expected for a top research University. You need at least a 3.8 to get it, The best thing to do is just be snoopy and call the advisor and ask them directly. That is what I did when I called UCF, and they told me exactly what I needed, GPA for last admitted class and the cut off GPA , where they wont even consider me competitive. Even if the GPA is lower as UF website claims(all schools post low GPA to draw in applicants) those persons as samiam says, probably has pristene resumes, already working in healthcare, already have a bachelors degree, got top references and or awesome essays on their application. Anyways, I'm sure they get calls like that all the time, just ask em. Good luck! seriously, I wish I could get in to UF myself.
