UF BSN-DNP 2014

Hi! Anyone apply to the DNP program for fall 2014 at the University of Florida?

Just sent you it :)

Is anyone on here doing Adult/Gero Primary Care part time ?

Hey guys, a little late to the game. I just found out just today (they had my address wrong =/) that I was accepted to the part-time NNP program. I know you guys have been talking about the background check and other than the short sentence in the acceptance letter that I got today I haven't seen any information on what we need to do...anyone want point me in the right direction? I wouldn't mind an email either, [email protected]. Thank you! And congrats to everyone.

@turknerk789 they should send you an email with the information for the background check once you send them your confirmation of acceptance paper.

Does anyone know if the general graduate new student orientation on Aug 18 is mandatory for us? The acceptance letter said the nursing one is for sure mandatory, but not sure about the other.

I previously posted about UF admitted me to fulltime when I needed part time. They came through and gave me a part time spot for the adult acute care np program. Is anyone else doing this program or has done this program? I have a lot of questions about it but I don't think the general admissions people I have been talking to know specifics on each track.

i am planning on only attending the mandatory nursing orientation on aug 22nd, i received an email from a lady i spoke to from the college of nursing with tentative dates that we will have to be going to campus for labs. if they are correct, we will have the first lab august 27th which is less than a week after our orientation...

hey everyone, quick question.

Is anyone else having issues gaining access to the HIPAA and Confidentiality training that is needed for our registration checklist?

I spoke to UF computing assistance and they said it was because my affiliation still hasn't been changed from applicant to enrolled. I contacted the coordinator of nursing admissions and he said that it is a glitch that is being fixed for several people, so at least i know i'm not alone. It's a bit frustrating though because I cannot see any potential financial aid since my affiliation hasn't been changed... and I really can't afford school all on my own so I don't want to be stranded without any aid if this takes too long. I was told on the 9th that it was still going to take a couple of days until everyone's status is changed... Is anyone else experiencing this?!? help pleaseee!

@VBRN10:

They've finally updated the grad school orientation page, it looks like the only people required are international students. I've requested the day off and will be going, if anyone else here is also going to this orientation feel free to PM me and maybe we can meet up! (Also wondering if someone wants to set up a UF DNP Fall 14 FB page...?)

Can anyone share tentative lab dates or face-to-face meetings we'll have this fall?

Thanks for all the updates everyone!! I am also having issues with hipaa! I haven't contacted them yet because I figured they haven't enrolled us yet, but I should probably call! I need some gator aid too:). I decided to only attend the mandatory orientation on the 22nd. And yes let's make a fb page! I'll make one if no one else has!

I made a group! UF BSN to DNP Program 2014

This UF- wide grad school orientation is pretty boring and definitely not mandatory. My SO went to it a few years ago and he said he pretty much read a book the entire time. I imagine all questions will be answered at the Aug 22 orientation.

Also, the UF DNP FB group isn't showing up when I try to search... Is it a secret group?
