UF BSN-DNP 2014

Published

Hi! Anyone apply to the DNP program for fall 2014 at the University of Florida?

Another curiosity question... Has everyone that's been accepted gotten in for full time or part time programs?

I got in for fulltime and I applied for part time...

So I emailed UF and they said they made a mistake that I did get in for the adult acute care program but I got in fulltime and unfortunately I will have to work throughout the program which is why I applied for part time so I will have to decline unless they are able to switch me :( so If anyone gets in to the adult acute care program part time and would like to switch please let me know :)

I am doing part time

I meant that to go to trhires

And AMD that's crazy! They should

let you do pt if that's what you asked for!

Yea I agree, it's really disappointing. I wonder if this program is going to be as unorganized as the decision process was. Does anyone know someone that has gone through the program FT and worked FT? I don't have kids and I just work 3 12's.

I graduated the BSN program at UF 2013 and I have a friend who started the full program directly after graduation... She had to drop to PRN at work and rarely has time to work with going for the full time program :/

Also, a girl I work with graduated with her masters exit back in May and she said the whole program was kind of a wreck and things were totally unorganized. I have yet to receive a letter, either way, but regardless, I hope they get their stuff together!

I applied part-time. Still no letter yet. I can definitely only do the part-time sequence since I do have a child and will be working three twelves as well. Plus, I don't want to take out any other loans so I will be paying my way through the program, with the help of hospital loan repayment, hopefully. I was discouraged yesterday but not today! I remember getting into the Accelerated BSN program. Everyone had gotten their letters and before I even received a "no" I was already calling admissions asking about the appeal process lol Then, an adviser laughed and told me to just wait on the letter. I did. Got into that program. So, I'm anxious but, I know that I met all requirements and have a good shot. If not, next year, I'll reapply. No problem.

Hi everyone! First time posting here. Congrats to everyone that have gotten their letters and best of luck to everyone still waiting.

I got my letter yesterday for pedi primary care NP and part of me really wants to say yes but I have 1 main concern.

1. From what I read and spoke with the advisors when I first applied, the program is primarily online. I live in Miami and I'd really like to keep living down here during the program, I don't mind driving up there when I need to but my job, family, and life are in Miami. I chose Miami for my clinical site also. Does anyone else plan on not living in gville for the duration of the program???

Any input would be appreciated! I plan on calling the advisors again to clear everything up before I make my decision but I wanted to hear from you guys as well.

Thanks!!! :)

I finally got my letter! I'm in for part time FNP! Stay faithful to those who haven't heard, letters are still coming!
