Hi, everyone!
I figured I'd get a thread started for everyone applying to the Accelerated Nursing Program at UF for Summer 2016. I know this thread was done last year, so it'd be nice to continue the tradition and help each other as potential Gator Nurses next year!
I'm currently looking to apply to UF, but I'm also debating other schools in Florida. However, I've only taken the GRE, and I would still need to take the other exam that the other schools require as well. How does everyone else feel about their application?
I'm going to try to live at my parents house in High Springs and see how that goes, but might be interested in an apartment in the fall so I can do the last 12 months closer to campus and not have to do a weird lease. I am extremely interested in study groups. I'm so nervous having so little information so far. And still trying to figure out how I'm going to pay for this. How many of us got in? I'm the only one from my classes last semester who got accepted.
Students with offers had to respond by the 29th. Between the 1st and the 11th the College of Nursing will be contacting those on the waitlist with offers for any spots that remain open. If you were initially rejected, you can petition. If they accept your petition, you will be put on the waitlist behind those who were initially waitlisted. You can find the petition form with a Google search (although I don't know if the one I saw was up to date). If you were initially waitlisted though, you don't need to petition (based off what I read on last year's forum). Hope that helps!

Thank you so much for that information! There is still hope.

Hi everyone! I just realized there was a forum made for this year! I have also been accepted to the UF accelerated program (in the Gainesville campus). I am from Miami and I am looking for a roommate (preferably in this program; and a female). I will be going up to Gainesville during my spring break (sometime between March 12-March 20) to look for off campus housing. If anyone is interested, please let me know! Majority of the places are already booked :/
