UF Accelerated Nursing 2016

Published

Hi, everyone!

I figured I'd get a thread started for everyone applying to the Accelerated Nursing Program at UF for Summer 2016. I know this thread was done last year, so it'd be nice to continue the tradition and help each other as potential Gator Nurses next year!

I'm currently looking to apply to UF, but I'm also debating other schools in Florida. However, I've only taken the GRE, and I would still need to take the other exam that the other schools require as well. How does everyone else feel about their application?

Omg I was scared about that too, but my mom brought up the fact that most people who are rejected aren't gonna want to go and tell the world about it, not the same day at least. Plus Mr. Wynn did say that it was the emails that was the problem, and so far it seems to be a UF email problem, so my fingers are crossed that that was the case and not that I was rejected :(

Your mom has a good point! I was also talking to my boyfriend who said maybe they sent out the emails in batches...maybe based on last name or submission date? The email I gave in NCAS is my gmail so I don't think that's the issue for me. I might call the office tomorrow if I don't hear anything

That sounds like a good plan to me! The new academic adviser for the Accelerated BSN is Kenneth Wynn, by the way. His office number is, according to his business card, 352-273-6411 (: If that makes it any easier!

Does anyone know how much tuition is for an out-of-state student for the accelerated nursing program? I know the UF website says that out-of-state tuition is around 28,500 a year, but I'm having trouble calculating it for this program since it is in session during the summer too. Thanks for the help.

Yep, it's $553 (tuition plus fees) per credit hour for out-of-state and there's around 60 credit hours in the program. So that's $33,180 total!

Hey guys! I am a UF student as well and I too used my UFL email and have not received a decision yet. A girl in my class used her yahoo account and she found out that she did not get in. I was very relieved (sad for her of course), but very relieved that they were not "saving the rejects" for tomorrow! Good luck to all of you! Hopefully we get our decisions tomorrow!

Does anyone know if they are reseeding emails today?

Congrats to everyone that got in! I also got accepted!! But I will be attending Emory's ABSN+MSN program instead. So that will open up a spot to someone on the waitlist! [emoji4]

I called Kenneth Wynn and he said that they will be resending emails today!

Still nothing for me :/
