Hi, everyone!
I figured I'd get a thread started for everyone applying to the Accelerated Nursing Program at UF for Summer 2016. I know this thread was done last year, so it'd be nice to continue the tradition and help each other as potential Gator Nurses next year!
I'm currently looking to apply to UF, but I'm also debating other schools in Florida. However, I've only taken the GRE, and I would still need to take the other exam that the other schools require as well. How does everyone else feel about their application?
@GatorBait52 From reading last year's thread, it seems that those of us on the wait list are gonna have to see whether or not those accepted give their confirmation or denial whether or not they will be attending the program. Depending on how many people turn down the admissions offer, they then go onto the wait list. I guess you have to hope you're near the top of the wait list because you stand a better chance of being offered admissions.
GatorBait52--I have been reading past years' forums and (from what I understand/my impression) is that applicants are taken off the wait list as those offered acceptance decline their offers. Last year those with offers had to accept/decline by March 20th (about a week and a half after initial decisions went out) and Ken Foote told one poster who was wait-listed that after that date those on the wait list will start hearing. It also seems like some years almost everyone on the wait list gets offers, while other years very few do; from what I've read, being on the wait list doesn't make you a shoo-in but it isn't a nail in the coffin either. I really want to know how many people are wait-listed, though!
Hey everyone! I'm new to this website. I just got my acceptance email today and am trying to decide whether or not to take it. My first choice was UCF since I live in Orlando but they were giving me the run around on basic school admission so I couldn't apply to nursing on time. I have wanted to be a Gator my entire life!!! I'm torn between being super excited about being accepted, how on earth am I going to pay for this and what's it going to be like since I've never even been to campus and holy crap I really have to quit my job and move now.
Omg I was scared about that too, but my mom brought up the fact that most people who are rejected aren't gonna want to go and tell the world about it, not the same day at least. Plus Mr. Wynn did say that it was the emails that was the problem, and so far it seems to be a UF email problem, so my fingers are crossed that that was the case and not that I was rejected

The email never said which campus, but in NursingCAS I selected Jacksonville.
