Hey everybody! Anyone applying for the above mentioned program? I haven't had luck finding any threads, in regard to this, for that specific year. I would like to find people who are so we can keep in touch through this process.

No one can make that determination in how successful a student is going to be with just a TEAS score and GPA, that’s nuts! If they want strong students in their program that are gonna be successful, they need to make more effort in trying to collect more info. such as experience and a statement. Yeah, for real I am grateful for UF’s holistic approach, especially since you have a lot of clinical experience. I know they’re looking for strong applicants with experience because this is a 1 year program with so much crammed in.
I was honestly really upset when I got denied from both, and both were because of my TEAS score. Which is absolutely ridiculous to be denied just for that. I had covid when I took it (obviously I couldn’t tell them that) and so I didn’t do well. They don’t ask for essays or anything like that. It was super frustrating

Ohh man, I’m so sorry to hear that... That’s real rough ? Keep your head up because you won’t have to deal with that at UF. Your chances are hella better with UF. You’ve got this!!
1. Solid GPA
2. Work experience/ resume
3. A killer statement
4. Two letters of recommendation
5. HESI exam
That’s 5 areas they’re gonna grade you on as a whole. So just look back at everything in your application and ask yourself, how can they not accept me with everything I’m bringing to the table?! ?

The only part of that I’m worried about is truly my GPA. I got a 91 on my HESI, I’ve worked a CNA for a year and a half, my letters of rec were pretty good I think, I spent months working on my essays so hopefully those were good. My GPA is only a 3.3 which is my only concern, but I’ve seen people in these threads who got in with a 3.1 with having clinical experience and a good HESI score so fingers crossed ??

There ya go! You’re fully equipped to be a qualified applicant. Ken said to me that they grade the application as a whole and they don’t emphasize on one area more than the other. Your experience, statement, HESI, and letters will outweigh your GPA. Plus, their requirement is a 3.0 to qualify, you’re well over. ?

Thank you for hyping me up ?? it’s nice to hear from someone else that they have faith in me. UF is my top choice because I go there now and I really want to get both my degrees from there. It’ll be a dream come true if I get in, I don’t even care what campus.

You’re welcome. ? And, if you have no preference in which campus you go to, they’ll fit you in where there’s room. But either way, you have everything they’re looking to see in an applicant and trust me, I feel a lot better myself knowing that they’re focusing on not just one area, but everything we submitted as a whole.
