Hey everybody! Anyone applying for the above mentioned program? I haven't had luck finding any threads, in regard to this, for that specific year. I would like to find people who are so we can keep in touch through this process.

OK, I looked on the site and it just said Summer well thats a better answer. Also, how is the cost of living in RI?

Not bad. We get housing allowance from the Navy to pay for rent. Also, we just came here from San Diego, where the cost of living is WAY higher, so RI is not bad compared to there!

That’s really good and did you take the HESI test yet? Yeah I’m from NY and is it the same or close to NY?

I haven't taken the HESI. How is it? Is it hard? I think Newport was about an hour and a half to two hours from NY. What part of NY? I'm finishing my bachleors online through Excelsior, which is in Albany. I'd like to visit NYC before we leave here, but I don't think that will happen due to COVID. We did drive through The Bronx on the way up from Florida.

So I did take the HESI. I wouldn't say it's hard, it's just high school algebra and a/p, and reading and grammar. I would definitely say give yourself a month of studying to get a high score due to in-depth questions. I used the Purple book to help since it's direct and give you a little knowledge of everything. NYC is amazing I love it but I won't move back due its not ideal for raising a family but when I visit I'm just like I'm at home with all the commotion it doesnt bother its a peaceful feeling. So many different things to do and you don't have enough hours to do it all.

So, is the name of the book to study the HESI titled "The Purple Book"? I submitted my post baccalaureate application last week. Apparently, it goes straight to the nursing department and they start reviewing in the transcripts. I only attached unofficial for now. I'm going to send out official at the end of this week and Excelsior transcripts in October, since I'll be finished with everything but my capstone by then.

Its called the HESI Admission Assessment Exam Review edition 3. There might be a newer edition out not sure. When will your capstone be finished?

CONGRATS on that, it's a major accomplishment and when did you plan to take the HESI? Also, I did a lot of Youtube watching for just prepping for the test it helps. I like visual as well if that your thing.

Thanks! I will definitely do that, because I am a visual learner! Thanks! I plan to start studying next week. I'm at the end of this semester so things are a little hectic with a paper being due. But it will slow down next week and then I have a week off before the last semester starts. What is your bachelors in?

Specializes in BAS,.

No problem, my bachelor's is in Health Management. I wanted to understand how the management processes and handles certain situations in the healthcare field. I want to own a clinic someday and having a foundation on the business end will help me tremendously and also experience patient care and understanding medical needs. Not sure why the underline LOL ignore.

Hey! I actually started a thread LOL. But this seems to be getting more replies.

does anyone know how much weight the HESI test holds? Like in comparison to the entire application.
