Hello everyone,
I have already gotten extremely worried about the UF ABSN application process even before it starts! So here I am creating a thread to share my concerns with you all who may be on the same boat with me.
At the moment, my biggest concern is that my overall undergraduate GPA (which is from a foreign country) is embarrassingly low (under 3.0 on a 4.0 scale) and my upper division GPA is probably even lower, due to my lack of seriousness during my undergraduate studies. BUT, when I came to the US for my Master's degree at FIU, I became more serious with school and graduated with a cumulative GPA of 3.85. I did read that UF website states only GPA from the most recent 60 credit hours or cumulative GPA from Master's or PhD is calculated for admission criteria, nonetheless, I am still very concerned that overall GPA from all colleges attended will be taken into account, and my undergraduate GPA would have dragged me down.
I am currently working part-time at a home health company as a CNA while taking my pre-requisites, so far I am straight A's and have Microbiology in the Fall and A&PII in the Spring left to be finished. I have no idea how much chance I stand for the UF accelerated program but it is my only hope and dream because all other Universities require a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
I would really appreciate it if anyone can share their thoughts with me. Thank you!
Does anyone know that withdrawing a prerequisite class that is not required by UF at this time will affect my admissions or not? I'm taking the class for another school that requires it. But now I have been accepted into UF so I don't need it anymore.
Did you find this out? I'm in the same boat!

Lol no, I never emailed the advisor about this question. I changed my mind and thought I should just finish the class even if I did not get a perfect score as it will not matter that much. But leaving a W on my transcript may look worse than an average grade.
Speaking for myself, I heard nothing because they are not replying to emails which is frustrating and very irritating. Have you heard anything or were you accepted already?
maybe someone who is already accepted and who Kenneth will respond to should ask were all the emails sent out bcus people are still wondering

I was accepted and he hasn't responded to my email that I sent him with a question, so I don't think they are really responding to anyone right now.

I agree I don't think it's fair to everybody waiting but you have to think it's many people still waiting and worrying so I'm sure they have a lot of emails. I do believe they should develop a system that allows you to see online with your email or something.
