UF ABSN 2023

Hello guys, I'm a prospective applicant to the above program and wanted to create a place for us to come together and discuss any concerns we might have. I am applying to the Gainesville campus and have a 3.6 undergraduate GPA along with a 94.8% overall HESI score. I earned a B.S. in Psychology from UF and wanted to pursue a career in research in this field. It did not take long for me to realize that medicine and helping others was my true passion. I only got separate confirmation emails from each entity we had to submit (NursingCAS, UF Post-Bacc, and HESI), but nothing from the College of Nursing itself. I just wanted to confirm I wasn't the only one who hadn't received anything.

I got an email saying that my residency status changed and that I was confirmed for in-state tuition. I found it strange that they would check residency statuses prior to admittance. Anyone else get that email?

I'm pretty sure residency status is handled at the university level, so the email you received is a response to your UF application, not UF Nursing. Woohoo for in-state status!

I went on to check the post baccalaureate application to see if there was an update and it had a random question I had to answer about what I did in the Summer of 2022. I've been a resident of FL since 2006 though.

FYI, I got a reply that all my materials were received and official decisions will be released at the end of February on the post baccalaureate application and emailed as well. Waiting is hard. ?

I am trying to figure out how to see my application status.....

I got an email from (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) wanting me to clarify a couple of classes. That is all I have seen.

Hey! I emailed to verify all my application stuff was received. The transcripts for my masters and updated prerequisites were simple to request, but my bachelor's had to be sent via mail since they didn't use one of the 3rd party vendors. She responded and said everything was received and I would be notified of the decision by email and also on the post baccalaureate application site. I was most excited about the fact she said end of February, because I didn't think we would hear until March. I'm so anxious to find out because I'm an older applicant, career changer. I have to figure out what I'll do with my 3 kids the whole Summer. Haha. I used to be a teacher, so I never had to worry about Summer care. If I don't get into UF Jax, I will apply to UNF and maybe JU (though I can't afford that) for the fall ABSN. I REALLY want UF though because I want to get my DNP in psych mental health there after my BSN. The waiting is killing me.

I keep clicking on the email I received confirming my post baccalaureate application for UF. It just shows residency status and transcript status right now.

I found it. Thank you! I did see that I had a couple pending items...like adding a picture of my ID for residency status as well as asking what I am doing during the time period of August 2022-May 2023. Anyone get that? I thought it was odd. I responded with "Working Full-time and attending microbio w/lab classes". Not sure why it would ask that? Anyone have any ideas?

I'm not sure either. It asked me what I was doing from may-august 2022. I thought it was weird too. I have been a resident of FL since 2006.
