2010 - UCSF / Stanford RN Residency Interview?

Hey,

I applied for RN residencies at both UCSF and Stanford during the week of May 10th, 2010. I wanted to hear from anyone who has applied to either program AND has been contacted by a recruiter. Or from anyone who knows for certain (i.e., you work there) when theses decisions will be made. I am a fairly strong candidate and would like to believe I am in the running for a position--but who knows really? I will post if and when I hear anything.

i still have not heard anything back from LPCH but I thought we were supposed to know by friday. Anyone else?

Also, a friend of a friend has an interview next week for SHC, so I don't think all the positions have been filled.

it's really up to the hiring manager & when they want to make a decision..from everything i've heard- we should know by this week because we'll need to complete all the paperwork for the program and what not asap :D

we will either hear from HR or the unit manager..it's really up to them. All i know is that i'm hoping to get an "Unknown" call on my phone soon!! haha ;)

Haha- I love the face BayareaRNBSN..i completely understand how you feel, i'm still waiting as well! But don't worry, good things come to those who wait! When we get that phone call, it'll be the best feeling in the world! :D

So think of it this way: no news is good news :p

I called HR and spoke to the recruiter... I was not selected :crying2:

hey bayarearnBSN,

I feel your pain. just know that you will get thru this. We will all find jobs eventually. We just hit a bad pocket of time.

did your status on the website change before or after you called HR? I'm still waiting on PICU. I wonder if anyone has heard back from them yet.

Aww, I'm really sorry BayareaRNBSN- it only means that there is something better out there waiting for you. Don't worry, you'll see. You may be sad now, but before you know it- you're going to have another great job! Just keep your fingers crossed & don't give up hope! Keep us posted :redbeathe

Thanks guys.. the kinds words mean a lot to me :redbeathe I'm back to square one, but it's OK. It feels good I got this far at least. They only interviewed 45 out of the 400 and it was competitive.

My status online still says "in review", but my "option to withdraw" is now gone.... I don't know of anyone waiting on the picu.

has anyone interviewed for the G1 neurology med surge unit for SHC??? I am interviewing there tomorrow and am wondering how many people are interviewing for this position and how many positions are open?...congrats to those of you who were selected for other SHC positions :)

I didn't get it either. i suggest calling them. HR is horrible. They may never contact you. Haven't heard from anyone else.

aww, i'm really sorry you didn't get the position..well like i said before- it's only a matter a time before you find something great! it only means there is something better out there for you! :) don't lose hope!!

as for my status- i will keep you posted. *fingers crossed*
