UCSF MEPN 2022

I applied for UCSF MEPN for 2022! Anyone else going crazy waiting for an interview invite? Has anyone gotten an interview invite?

Ugh! I'm frustrated at the delay too. That being said, I'm happy to offer support to anyone trying to move here quickly. I've lived in Oakland for the last 5 years, and am happy to give tips on finding housing/FB groups/neighborhoods ?  Luckily the rental market is a lot more chill here compared to a few years ago!

They are wild ? A bit questionable that they can’t hold to a deadline and expect us to be in a very demanding 24/7 program with less than 3 months to make arrangements with our LIVES!!

To me its incompetency paired up with covid. You'd be surprised by how many people don't know what they are doing in those positions smh. ANYWAYS... the wait continues.

Oh man, I'm so sorry you are all going through this. They did a similar thing last year - delays and all, but not as bad as this. I love MEPN and I love my cohort but you will soon learn that this program is low on the list of priorities for UCSF. These communication delays, last-minute arrangements, and lack of info are common throughout the program - you just kinda get used to it. In terms of financial aid - there aren't many scholarships or grants for incoming MEPNs and everyone gets mostly loans. So if you got a sweet deal for another school and money is a big factor, tbh just take it. Another thing! There's a new MEPN director that started maybe 1 month ago. She's been really shaking things up (in a good way!) and this is probably contributing to the delays. Don't lose hope!

Just out of curiosity, when did they say you’ll hear back from them? I was hoping I’d hear back for my MSN around the same time.

They said a couple days so I think later tomorrow is a good bet, at most by end of day Thursday. Definitely not today though unless they surprise us
