UCSF MEPN 2021

Published

Hi, I searched for a thread for the UCSF MEPN 2021 cohort, but did see any. I hope this help. I am looking to apply for the CNM/WHNP speciality. I wish everyone one of us all the best n our application.

Specializes in Midwifery.

Yes same exact list! I have 5 recommendations submitted and above a 3.0, so trying to figure out if it's something with my transcripts.

Hello!

I received an email as well. I'm wondering if the list of deficiencies is customized to each applicant, or if it is a general checklist. Here is what I was told might have deficiencies or need corrections:

You are receiving this email because, after an initial review, we have identified that your application may have one or more deficiencies or irregularities. These may be one or more of the following:

-A transcript missing a degree conferral date

-A missing transcript confirming a program prerequisite (including confirmation of a statistics course taken no earlier than Summer 2017)

-A petition in the event that you are below the 3.0 GPA requirement

-1 or more letters of recommendation

Did everyone else get this same list?

had the same list! and no such issues

yes - it shows that my official ones were received & uploaded + scanned by UCSF! previously I had my unofficial ones show when you clicked ‘transcript’

Ah OK, thank you! That's stressful they didn't upload mine I sent then...

So, I am going to go through each item on the list of possible deficiencies. I started by looking at the transcripts section. All transcripts are in. When I clicked on one of the transcripts, it showed "error" and could not load the PDF. So, one deficiency identified...

I will be combing over each section today. I sent an email to --------------------- and to [email protected], to request for more specific guidance. Will keep you all posted.

Best to all of us...

Hi All,

Same issue here! I also sent emails and will let you know if anyone responds...unfortunately, one of my schools only sends official transcripts by mail and is working remotely now...if I have to resend it, I am sure it won't be in by Oct. 25th like they want ?. If anyone has ideas please share! Thank you and good luck to everyone!!

Best Regards!

Hi y'all! I haven't received any communications but I'm pretty sure there is a problem with my app because my app status doesn't say that it is completed. It's because I didn't upload any transcript for a school that I am currently taking a class in for the first time. I emailed them my current grades and proof of enrollment but have not heard anything yet. Should I be worried/ try to reach out again?

Also, what specialty did everyone apply for? (':

Yes, I got the exact same email!

1) I had official transcripts sent to myself, and then uploaded them to the application. I emailed them back and asked if they would want official transcripts resent to the admissions office. I wonder if this is the problem. When I log into my application though, everything is marked as complete.

2) I redid statistics in Fall of 2019, so that shouldn't be an issue.

3) My GPA meets requirements, so I don't think that's an issue either.

3) I have 5 completed letters, so don't think that's the problem.

Ugh, 2020, why do you have to be so hard?

I think it’s quite the anomaly that this many people receive this email! especially from this subset of people who actually post on allnurses so there must be more - hoping for the best!

I totally agree! So strange!

I got it too! I don't think there is anything wrong with my application but I have been noticing that my application was open for awhile like since late September. I assumed they were just giving people more time to do the application because of covid. I guess that wasnt the case. I hope this isn't something bad. Good Luck Everyone!

how did you know the application was open or not?

It tells you at the top when you click on application in red and tells you when it will close
