UCSF Medical Center New Grad Residency 2019

Updated:   Published

UCSF hasn’t updated their RN training program page yet. Applications are rumored to be opening sometime in the next month or two. We can all keep eachother updated. What units are you all applying to?

Peds Cardiac Transitional!

Hi everyone who was waiting for a callback from the adult cardiac ICU! I spoke with the ANM today, and he said that they decided to rescind the new grad positions because they don't have the capacity to train right now ?

@emayevee were they going to let us know about this news? that really is a bummer. Thanks for the update tho.

Does anyone have any advice for PICU interviews?

Wow I'm so glad I found this thread. I was getting anxious about not hearing back for the cardiac ICU -- @emayevee did you reach out to them or did someone contact you to tell you that? ?

Does anyone know if there is a general start date to the new grad program for all units, or is it unit-specific?

I think the first day/first few weeks is the same because you usually go to orientation the first day then Apex training, but your schedule on your specific unit after training will be different.

I reached out. I haven't tried calling HR or anything to see what happened or why they didn't notify us ?

Has anyone heard from the Transplant unit?

Are you asking about the blood and marrow transplant unit?

I think rn9867 is talking about organ transplant. I haven’t heard anything back from them either.
