UCSD Perinatal Nurse Training Program

I just received an email that I have an interview scheduled for 6/1.

Did anyone else apply? Has anyone interviewed or been selected?

The job posting didn't mention how many they were seeking or when they want to start the program so I'm pretty lost on the details. It sounds like an amazing opportunity though.

I got the same story from ------. I believe they are taking 5 people for this program.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that being told to feel good about being in the top 1% is a nice way of being rejected. My family says otherwise but I'm not holding out too much hope for this job. I figure they interviewed approximately 16 people. They had one interview scheduled for today because someone missed their interview on Friday. They are looking for 5 people and will let us know by the end of the week.

Hi, I was interviewed on Thursday. They informed me that they offered interviews to 16 candidates. Does anyone remember when the exact start date of the program was?

I thought she said something about 16, but was not 100%

The program will start on July 24th and is 3 years long.

I told my husband that I am pretty sure that being told that was a nice way of telling me that this was as far as I was going to make it with this job :-( He said to just wait until I know for sure, but I am already setting myself up for the rejection email.

It does seem like she told a lot of us the same thing but I just wonder if we are all the people that are not getting the offer??? I guess we will know soon enough and in the mean time, try to stay positive :-)

Did anyone get phone calls or emails today? I haven't heard a peep. I guess I'll know for sure tomorrow. They seemed pretty certain about knowing by the end of the week.

I sent a Thank you note and got a quick email letting me know she will have the results to us by Friday.

Did you mail a note or send emails? I sent thank you notes on Saturday but not thank you emails.
