UCSD New Grad Residency Jan/Feb 2022

Hello everyone! New Grad Nurse here! Just graduated and wondering if anyone else has applied to the UCSD New Grad Residency? Don’t know if anyone who has applied yet has heard back? My statuses just say “open”. 

I applied for the ED and my status is currently: referred to hiring.

To those who got interviews, did UCSD call to invite for an interview or email? I’m currently out of country and I’m afraid I’ll miss the call if they try to reach me.

I have 4 applications that say Referred to Hiring since 11/29. Should I just lose hope on them?

has anyone heard back from telemetry on Thornton 2 west? mine updated to referred to hiring department last week.

Hi All!

I applied to a couple of positions and all of "My Status" still say "application received" :( I am wondering if anyone has had their status updated or received an interview yet for the following positions!

ICU/CCU - applied 12/14

Trauma PCU - applied 12/11

LJ ED - applied 12/4

HC ED - applied 12/4

L&D - applied 11/21

@atozee22 I applied for all the positions you listed except L&D. I haven't heard from these units for interviews yet. However, I have 2 interviews next week for M/S and IMU/PCU.

ICU/CCU - applied 12/9, referred to hiring dept 12/16

Trauma PCU - applied 12/7, referred to hiring dept 12/14

LJ ED - applied 12/7, referred to hiring dept 12/13, others more competitive 12/16

HC ED - applied 12/7, referred to hiring dept 12/13

They reached out for interviews for the EDs on the 16th. Not sure if they’re still reaching out to people but I believe they’re interviewing on the 21st!

Hello everyone! I came across this post and I thought I'd join in. Congratulations to everyone that has heard back! ? I applied for 5 NEW GRAD RN positions and just today I noticed that two of my apps were updated. I am checking my phone and email for further updates. Best of luck to everyone! ❤️

3) LJ ER (status- received 12/04/21)

4) HC ER (status- received 12/04/21)

Hey all!

Just wanted to update everyone, so that everyone is aware of the progress on each unit!

I received a job offer from the ICU after interviewing last week and was called regarding my interview from the 10E IMU/PCU and the 4W Surgical/Oncology PCU and I know they held interviews for the ED today.

Hopefully you guys are able to get interviews with other units, I know the 5W Trauma PCU has been calling to pre-screen applicants!

Were you asked to submit a reference list after your interview?

Yes, but I had already received and completed my reference list prior to any interviews

Oh that's interesting. How long after your online applications did you receive those references? I interviewed for Med/Onc PCU yesterday and received an e-mail to complete the reference list today. Crossing my fingers and hoping that it's a good sign! But congratulations on your ICU offer!
