UCSD New Grad Residency Jan/Feb 2022

Hello everyone! New Grad Nurse here! Just graduated and wondering if anyone else has applied to the UCSD New Grad Residency? Don’t know if anyone who has applied yet has heard back? My statuses just say “open”.

Those of you who have gotten interviews or hired how did you form your resume? Mine is two pages I tried to highlight my experience. Any tips on what to include on there or how to format to be more competitive?

I haven't been hired yet but got interviews. My main advice would be to really highlight your relevant experience on your resume based on the floor that your applying to.

I received an offer and my resume/cover letters were forwarded to multiple departments for ucsd. for your resume, two pages is okay (mine was 2). keep it professional/clean and in your bullet points, you should be quantifying (ex: increased membership retention rate by 50%). use Google to find strong action verbs as well. general format of resume: education, senior preceptorship (if applicable), quality improvement project (if applicable), clinical rotation list, certs/skills, work experience, volunteer work

go to your school's career center for additional resume help. best of luck ?

Got an interview for a ICU and PCU floor at UCSD coming up! Status updates were pretty accurate and I got a phone call for them. Another floor manager emailed me to set up an interview but hasn’t gotten back to me.

Hi, I have applied to 5 positions and they all still say "open" but I see many of you have gotten other status updates. Is there something wrong with the way I'm applying??

It was referred to hiring department or consideration for interview!

I applied to L&D and my status changed to "referred to hiring department" on Nov. 6th. Has anyone the applied to L&D been contacted for an interview?
