UCSD new grad Oct 2015

U.S.A. California

Hi all,

Just wondering who else applied to the UCSD new grad program from October 2015. It was for Thorton IMU. As of today 9/25/15 my application changed to "under consideration". Does that mean I will get an interview? Anyone with past UCSD application experience? Thanks!

It does not mean you will have an interview. It really means what it says, your application is under consideration. Sometimes it will change as it gets pushed up to the managers but that doesn't always happen. Doesn't necessarily mean you won't get an interview.

If you're gonna receive a call, you will find out via your phone. Staring at your computer isn't gonna get you anywhere. I'd move on til you get that call and put energy elsewhere.

Zzbxdo,

Thanks!

I applied and have the same "under consideration" on my application! Good luck to you!

Hello all. I applied to the 10 East Telemetry Dept and my status changed to "referred to hiring department 10/12/15." I haven't yet received a call or email, therefore no interview yet. This is the furthest any of my applications has ever gotten, and I am on the edge of my seat! (Chill out, Flo.) Has anyone heard anything about this position? Anyone had experience with a UCSD app status changing then NOT getting an interview? Job status currently says "open." At what point (if at all) should I try to reach out to the hiring department?

Call the HR department yesterday. Interviews have already taken place. Sorry to be the bad news bear.

I was told that more positions will be opening in November.

Bummer. Thanks for the update.

With the opening of Jacobs soon resources are probably put into hiring experienced nurses first. That way they laterally place staff once the doors pop.

Specializes in Cardiothoracic, Peds CVICU.

I had an interview on 10 east on Monday! I heard there are 5 candidates and 2 positions available.

Congrats on having an interview! Can I ask your credentials (so I know what I need to shoot for)? Are you BSN? Internal candidate? Certifications? Good luck in the run toward the final decision!

Thank you! I am BSN. I work at UCSF as a PCA on a tele floor... They were super interested in this. I don't have any of my certs yet besides BLS but I believe you have 6 months after being hired to get your ACLS.
