UCSD new grad Oct 2015

U.S.A. California

Hi all,

Just wondering who else applied to the UCSD new grad program from October 2015. It was for Thorton IMU. As of today 9/25/15 my application changed to "under consideration". Does that mean I will get an interview? Anyone with past UCSD application experience? Thanks!

Thank you. I worked on a tele/step down ICU unit in Indiana for 2.5 years during nursing school. I've since relocated to San Diego, passed NCLEX, and am in the toughest market ever. I'm actually getting my ACLS today, so from my perspective my resume and experience are pretty golden. Just waiting for someone in the hiring department to realize that. Congratulations, again! Please update us with whether or not you get the job! I'm rooting for you!

Haven't heard anything back yet! Has anyone else been interviewed??

I haven't heard anything either. I have an application in for new grad 6 east med/surg that changed yesterday to "referred to hiring department" but I've learned that that doesn't mean anything.

How long did it take for you all to hear back from UCSD? I interviewed at UCSD Hillcrest and they did not really give me an expected date to hear back from them

hey guys! I interviewed for Thornton BMT/Oncology on 12/21, got a reference check email on 12/23, and was offered a position on 12/29. Good luck to those of you applying! I wish you all the best of luck!!

anyone has been interviewed or will have an interview in Jan or Feb 2016?

Any advice? I just applied to a new grad position. Were you already involved in UCSD or have any background with them?

I worked at UCI as a nursing aide, not sure if that helped me or not for UCSD. i ended up taking the job at UCI instead in the emergency/observation unit. heard they are both very different hospitals even though they're under the same system. Any thoughts??

Anyone apply to the New grad in thorton 2 east wing and get an interview for this week?

Anyone been through the new grad program? I would like your experiences shared if you don't mind! Thanks in advance :)

All those who interviewed at UCSD.. more specifically NICU/FMCC... did your status ever change to "pending decision" after being interviewed, and then not receive the position?

I had an interview! But never heard back. Did you?

I applied to the most recent open position, and my status changed to pending decision. But I found out that you can still be denied after that status. I was hoping for better news
