Hey everyone! Just thought I would start this thread for the upcoming New Grad Applications for January/February 2021!

Does anyone know if they're still calling people regarding interviews? I applied to BMT and Surg/Onc PCU.

I have no idea. I would also like to know because I applied to Surg/Onc PCU and it says “referred to hiring department” still. Good luck to you!

Does anyone who got into the new grad residency have an ADN or do you all have your BSN? I'm trying to figure out how likely they are to hire an ADN when there seem to be so many BSN nurses in the area.

Hello, just wondering if anyone has an idea of when UCSD will open new grad apps for 2021 Spring/Summer cohort. I think they hire/start in may-June but I’m wondering when the applications will be put out so I’m on top of it. Does anyone know? Or based on pervious years when have they come out?

Hi! For those of you who started the New Grad program earlier this year, how is it going? I am curious about the structure. I hear you have your 3 clinical shifts, plus one 4h class/month (for 6 months) with the whole cohort plus unit specific bootcamp. What does the bootcamp entail? Is it in person classes with only your small unit cohort, online/hybrid etc? Would love to hear more! And congrats. :)

I am in the process of applying how long does it take to hear anything back my application currently states received.

Hello

I applied for a few jobs this month and last month but haven't heard a thing all my application say received.  I am new grad RN with ADN/ASN enrolled in RN to BSN program with 5+ years of LVN experience.  I was wondering how long it takes to hear anything back and if I even have a chance with no BSN. I really want a new grad program because I want the extra training.  Please let me know your experience and any tips.

Thank you
