UCLAs application for their Summer 2017 New Graduate Residency program opened this weekend so figured I'd start the forum where we could all converse, update and support each other through the LONG and stressful process.

STAFF UPDATE

I didn't get a second interview either. Are you out of state?

Yes, I'm out state . What about you ? I hope we are still in the run !

I got a second interview. Have you tried getting in contact with the UD or HR? They have until the end of the month to send offers

I haven't contacted HR yet but I plan to do so by end of this week

Yes! I am too. I sure hope we both are!

has anyone received an offer from 7N, CTICU?

More than a couple of people I know have been offered a position for 7N (CTICU) a couple of weeks ago. I also interviewed for that unit, but no reference checks and NO OFFER/REJECTION at all..

Have you talked to HR?

I had called them, but they've just said we're all going to hear from them eventually and most likely towards the end of June.

I just heard back from 6East and was offered a position. Congrats everyone and good luck to those still waiting! I know it's agonizing.

Anyone hear back from the ED?

They said for Ronald Reagan, but cross trained in Heme/Onc and floating between Reagan and Santa Monica for the first year. I interviewed mid-May. Interviewed with management, then SM nurses, then sent to Regan and met with management and nurses there on 5 then sent to 3 and met management there and went to SM and met management there. All in the same day. they didn't do a reference check

Thanx for the info! Sounds exactly like my experience minus the trip to Santa Monica. I hope that doesn't hurt my chances... By the time I finished up at RR it was already after 4 and I wouldn't have made it to Santa Monica by 5. Plus they made it sound like the tour was optional...

Did all of the people that you know who were offered a position receive reference checks for that unit?

No not for me but, I am also an internal applicant so I don't know if that differs.
