UCLAs application for their Summer 2017 New Graduate Residency program opened this weekend so figured I'd start the forum where we could all converse, update and support each other through the LONG and stressful process.

Is anybody out of state who is applying for licensure in California?
Hey, so I applied for CA license Dec 27, 2016 and my submission date Jan 11, 2017. I received my license March 24, 2017. It was a long process don't waste time get the information in Asap. Trying to contact them can be a nightmare. Make sure you send all the information in at one time.

I don't graduate until May 21st, so I won't be able to send my transcript until about two weeks after that. I have already applied and sent everything else in that I need. Did you apply for licensure by exam? Or had you already taken the NCLEX?

I applied for my endorsement license for CA. I am licensed in Florida. You should fine before the program start at UCLA. It's take about 2-3 month to received a endorsement license. But I read that some people get there license in weeks. Are you applied for endorsement or taking the NCLEX? Either way you should be ok.

That's so helpful, thank you! I am taking the NCLEX because I am not yet licensed. I hope the process for licensure by exam is similar to endorsement. I have heard stories about it taking several months. Just hoping I can be eligible to take the exam within a couple.

Its not a problem. You will do well with everything.
Just when I was about to give up on UCLA.... I just got an interview for 6ICU Neuro Trauma! Anyone else here have an interview for the same unit on 5/2? Or if anyone has any advice on what types of questions they ask or how the interview is, please let me know!!
Sweetarts123, I finally got an interview for 6ICU Neuro Trauma for 5/2/17 today. I am excited but nervous as the same time. Does anyone know how the interview is like and what kind of questions to expect? How to prepare for ICU interview? I had a bad experience with my first interview in another hospital and I want to do my best for this one. Any advice will be great.

I am wondering the same! Any advice would help!
Did anyone else interview for Neuro/Trauma ICU today? I had my interview today, and it seemed like it went well. They were very friendly, and all they really asked about are questions to get to know me better. I was offered a tour of the unit at the end and it was such an incredible experience!

Yes I do! I am actually flying out there from the east coast. I didn't bother asking for a phone interview because in the email it specifically said they strongly prefer in-person interviews.
