any updates on Liver Transplant/Surgical ICU at RRUCLAMC?

I had my first interview with the unit director today. She told me that we should find out by next week. Do you know if she's going to make a final selection by then or will there be a second round of interviews?

I interviewed for liver transplant/sicu also... To my understanding there's no second interview...did you happen to ask how many she's hiring?

Hi @Nquiry! I don't think there will be second rounds. Her final decisions will come next wk. Hopefully good news! idk how many she plans on hiring

My interview with the unit director was good, but I was surprised about the 2nd interview on the unit - that's the part that was the most nerve-racking to me! I think I answered their questions fine, I just wish I knew I would have to talk to three more people ahead of time!

How was yours?

I think it went well. it was nerve racking because in my second interview I had the nurse educator and the assistant director there. there only planing to hire 8 people . Good luck

Hello Loma510 and CaliGirlD,

On the day of the interview, were you guys asked to write a short essay or fill out any paperwork before the interview. One of my friends who got hired last winter said she had to write a short essay - 2 questions.

For Liver Transplant/SICU, she said that we shouldn't be concerned with the number of spots she's opening up to new grads. She bases it completely on who she meets in the interview. Overall, it seemed that if there were a decent amount of well-qualified applicants that she liked, she'd hire more, and if she only liked a few, then she'll hire less. No set amount of new hires. Good luck to those who interviewed yesterday! Crossing fingers :)
