UCLA New Grad Summer 2012 program

I am going to assume that means that our application has been sent to the unit we have chosen. So they can review it and see if they like us for an interview...... Anybody has any other assumption. I am freaking out!

I just called and they said calls will be made this week for interviews so the waiting game continues

My status changed as well! My choices were:

CCU/Med-Surg ICU SMH

MICU RR

Liver Transplant/SICU RR

Did anyone else apply for these positions? Or know how we figure out which position we're being considered for? Are we placed or do we chose which one we'd like to interview for the most? If invited, this will be my first nursing interview. I'm excited, and TERRIFIED :)

Does anyone know how many positions are being offered in the various units from all the departments?

I'm wondering if they might hire more of their internals again like they did in the last cohorts? I'm an external.

I had friends from FL and VT and TX, fly out and stayed with me, but none got an offer. We sure did a lot of fun while we all got together in almost over 3 years.

I'm j/w. How many of you whose status changed actually had 3 or more of your reference complete the survey?

Kv07 I had all 5 write a reference

I had only 3 out of the 5 replied (the missing two are on spring break), but I was told by HR, I'm okay with only 3. She jokingly said, as long as they were very good ones it's even better.

I think that possibly having more than 3 and if one or two extra doesn't reflect you in good standings, it could actually hurt your chances for an interview.

I am jw. Because I am stressing out about it. Only 2 of 5 of mine have completed the survey! Everyone else is on Spring Break Vacation and not in town or no access to email. Sucks!! Really hope this does not affect my chances. I am even thinking and contacted another possible reference that I could add to just be able to complete one more for me to make at least 3 references.

Go for it! I would let the new reference know that you need it done as soon as possible. There was a reason why they asked for up to 5, knowing 3 is the minimum for cases like this.

Did anyone's status change who applied to regular Med/Surg? (not Med/Surg ICU)
