I have a question regarding the units of our preference...
Do we actually get to interview with all 3 units we preferred if we get a call for an interview? Or is it an interview for whichever unit calls you? Do you only get a call from the 3 units you chose from, or can anyone call you if they need applicants? The reason why I'm asking is because yes I chose my top 3, but honestly, I don't mind working at any other unit if they need me.
watermelon21, unfortunately the answer is no. From what the nurse recruiter told us when she came to our school, usually you get your first choice or nothing. If you're chosen for an interview, you don't get one at all 3 units. On rare occasions, you can get interviewed at your second choice and she said almost no one gets third choice. There are just too many other applicants that put your second and third as their first. This is based on what she told us, so maybe there have been situations where people have been hired into a different unit.
Does anyone know what's going on now? I thought rejections were only occurring over the weekend, but it seems that a few people got some yesterday.
Not that it's super helpful - but wanted to respond to you cmp - I haven't heard diddly either. I'm wondering what is going on based on everything I am hearing. My status has not changed (all required documents received), I have not got an e-mail or anything hearing bad or good news from them...! I'll be flying from pretty far away too for an interview. Although I'd make the flight with 24 hours notice and charge it if I needed to... :)
Are they still sending rejection letters? My application has no changes still... My choices were ER, OR, L&D. I applied toward the end of application deadline. I couldn't bear with this anxiety and my pocket was screaming to be filled so I got a job at SNF and currently working. Did anyone get the reference emails yet from above units?
