Hi I recently applied for the Spring 2024 cohort and didn't see a thread yet. How is everyone's application going?

some patterns I've picked up on.
1st round, I was " in review" until a week after the "last day" because they didn't make decisions in time. So I was hopeful because I didn't know any better
2nd round, I realized if they want to make an offer they will almost immediately make an offer after 1-2 weeks they won't really drag it out until the final day. As evidenced by what happened to me 2nd round, many people received offers about a week after our interviews ended and that's how I found out I wasn't getting an offer because I called to confirm.
Coming from someone that hasn't had much luck with the process, for me personally the longer I've waited to hear back it's mostly been "rejections"
but that's not to scare anyone I'm just sharing my personal insight and how difficult a journey it has been for me to land a new grad position.
I wouldn't give up hope. I did my interview 11/6 and they barely called me one month after yesterday on 12/4.

no probably not..but theres also only so many people on this thread. theres 100s of applicants we'll never know about who did or didn't receive offers also...im just over being positive ?. its unfortunate but oh wellll. whats for me will come
While it's incredibly exhausting, even making it to the interview stage is already a huge achievement. You have to imagine the amount of applicants UCLA's residency obtains, and we managed to break through that. So regardless of what'll happen, I'm proud that I was at least able to not only have a chance to sell myself, but do so in a conversation that was comfortable and productive
