Hi I recently applied for the Spring 2024 cohort and didn't see a thread yet. How is everyone's application going?

Gosh I should stop stress-commenting xD

Yeah so I'm currently applying to Cedars-Sinai, VA Hospital (unfortunately it's for adults), CHLA of course, and Northridge Medical Center with Dignity Health. I know that Providence and Kaiser have upcoming applications I believe next month??? But yeah, at this point, it's kinda a waste to be looking for a filler job since everything is starting pretty soon so like I'm just gonna wait it out until I get one of these positions

if you don't mind me asking, when does cedars new grad program open up again?!

Was It the pop up window confirming date and time chosen or an actual confirmation email as well?

It's that trauma bond that we're forming - except it's for the people who were rejected xD

Yeah I'm an in-state graduate, but don't worry - Los Angeles is an oversaturated place of nursing students. You got CSULA, CSUN, UCLA, COC, AV College all putting out nursing students. You of course got the private schools with the massive cohorts. Los Angeles doesn't really have a lot of hospitals that accept new graduates without the residency, so like we're all struggling out here LOL. It's just a matter of putting your application out there and/or get med-surg experience until you can simply just transfer into a hospital. OHH I also forgot about the Versant USC residency that I'm gonna check out as well! If you're looking for somewhere a bit closer, I also applied to PIH Whittier, PIH Good Samaritan, and St Francis Medical Center in Lynwood. These places certainly aren't as fancy as Cedars or UCLA, but they're good places for nursing experience, which is very valuable ?

Haha kinda is nice to see other people in the same boat. OMG haha I also applied to VA but they haven't really been good with communication. I applied to northridge hospital but I didn't get picked. I graduated from an out of state school so I'm unfamiliar with hospitals around here since I've done clinical in another state.

also have you heard back from CHLA? I applied again and just got in touch with a talent adviser !

Got an interview email yesterday for SM ED! I put emergency as my preference so I'm stoked. If anyone has any insight into the interviews or the best way to prep, that would be much appreciated! Good luck to everyone! Such a stressful time and process haha

I was told it's opening up October 30th.

Has anyone got an interview for the Medsurg unit? Also if we haven't received an interview email yet.. then should we assume we haven't been selected?

No I haven't received anything from CHLA this time around, which is weird because I got pretty far in the process last time. Cautiously optimistic though!

thanks! and id like to know also. I know last time around they sent interview emails for up to a week and almost 2 weeks after people initially started to receive them. so im not losing all hope yet but definitely a gut punch to not have received one yesterday

I also know internal applicants got emails before external applicants did last time around. maybe that's a reason too? hopefully we hear back sometime next week. ??

Hi all,

has anyone heard back from NICU? The anticipation is killing me! LOL.
