I am so excited for the few posts here of new hires at UCLA. Congratulations!!!
I have my second interview tomorrow at SM UCLA for L&D. Maternal Child health is where I want to be and I am super excited for tomorrow. I will be interviewing with the director, Asst. director and manager of L&D.
I hope everything goes well. I am not nervous, just hopeful that I can answer all their questions with well-rounded answers.
I wish everyone good luck! It makes me so happy when I see in the forum that people are being successful and getting hired. I also hope that people who did not get hired will get offers in other hospitals. We all deserve jobs after studying so hard and giving up so much to become nurses!!!
You seem to know a lot of info about the icu. Do you know if they are still interviewing for the cticu? Is this your second time interviewing? Good luck with your new grad position. Good vibes to everybody still waiting for a call. I haven't lost hope yet.
Did anyone get a phone call saying they're still waiting for the budget to approve new grad positions?? Is that good or bad??
Hope it's nothing like the new grad's are going thru at White Memorial has with their budget cuts and waiting for approvals...we're talking months after some were "hired", but never got to see the inside of the real hospital doing actual work, just a weekly wait and see.
Wow, months?? The UD said by the end of this week "hopefully" so I guess I shouldn't hold my breath lol. I am definitely not gonna wait around for a weekly update!
Paper work will be started in January. Physical will be done 2 weeks before start date.

My UD to me that he'll be sending out employment papers on monday but I haven't gotten anything yet. Maybe they're rethinking about hiring? with the budget meeting etc? i'm scared lol.

Lol don't be scared! I'm sure since you've gotten an official "You're hired" you should rest easy :)
Plus the unit I interviewed for is at Santa Monica...I think everyone has been hired so far at RR?
