UCLA New Grad RN Fall 2021

I interviewed with them this week as well! Is there a specific timeline that the units are following? I forgot to ask what’s after our initial interviews.

I’m not sure what’s after the interview. I’m eager to know since I got an offer elsewhere and I don’t wanna take it over UCLA ? (if they were to offer me a spot too)

I have another offer too so I’m in the exact same position. UCLA is my dream but I don’t want to potentially lose out on this offer and then also not receive an offer for UCLA. I’m planning to ask about their timeline for hiring during my interview!

@Spacebabe and @NiniRN, Oh no, that’s definitely a tough position to be in. It’s always hard having to decide whether to wait or just take another offer. And please let us know about their timeline! Once you find out! 
 

And the interview went well I think LOL. I got asked behavioral questions (tell me a time when…) and no situational/clinical based questions! They also asked about a QI project that I was a part of and that’s about it. This is for the NICU btw. I don’t know if other units interviews are the same.

I also forgot to ask about timelines after the interview. I think they did all of their interviews on 9/13 and 9/15 at least for the ICU/PICU/NICU. I’m hoping we hear soon! 

Was anyone able to ask about timeline during their interview? Also does anyone know the official start date for the program?

NICU informed me that they were hiring (2) total new grads, with decisions by early next week; I believe they were interviewing 8 of us total between M/W this week.

They’re definitely having more interviews tomorrow and Friday, although they may only be for adult ICU

From what I remember the program starts mid-November. Not to sure on the exact date though.

Ahhh so nerve wrecking, hopefully we hear some good news next week!

Yeah they are having interviews tomorrow and Friday for the ICU/PICU/NICU. I'll be sure to ask some of these questions and post what I find out tomorrow ☺️

Interviewed with Neuro-science/trauma ICU this morning and asked about the expected timeline. The unit director told me they’re hiring two people and will be making their decision by tomorrow afternoon and inform HR of their selection. She said it’s then up to HR to notify candidates, so hopefully they don’t take too long LOL This might be different for other units though. Good luck everyone!! ?
