  1. Sorry for the unsolicited advice but if you’re doing your preceptorship right now I would strongly recommend keeping track of all the interventions you’re doing and any interesting patient stories. So many of my interview questions, including the one I just did for UCLA, had to do with my patient care experience and having a specific example really helps sell your answer. I didn’t have to do care plans during my preceptorship and I realized when I started prepping for interviews that I had forgotten a lot of the specifics of what I did in my last semester. Most interviewers will be very interested in your preceptorship experience, particularly if it’s in the same type of unit as the job you’re applying for.
  2. I created a facebook group for anyone interested! https://www.facebook.com/groups/990085318507130/?ref=share
  3. If I set up a facebook group for this cohort of new grads would people be interested? It would be wonderful to get to know you guys!
  4. Congratulations!! I just accepted an offer for CTICU ?
  5. I interviewed for CTICU today and I asked about the timeline as well. She said she would be conducting interviews through Tuesday and then would have to notify HR of their decision and then HR would notify candidates. She said it might be 10-14 days until we heard from HR.
  6. They’re definitely having more interviews tomorrow and Friday, although they may only be for adult ICU
  7. Thanks for this info and I hope you’re offered the position!!
  8. I have another offer too so I’m in the exact same position. UCLA is my dream but I don’t want to potentially lose out on this offer and then also not receive an offer for UCLA. I’m planning to ask about their timeline for hiring during my interview! How was the interview?
  9. I saw something about initial interviews being conducted in September and that combined with the November start date makes me feel like there will be multiple rounds. However I think for the January 2021 cohort they only did a single round of interviews and it seemed like the turn around time was super quick between interviews and offers being sent
  10. Never mind LOL I found out it starts in November
  11. Does anyone know when the program starts? I've looked everywhere and I can't find a date. I'm planning to ask during the interview, but it would be super helpful to find out beforehand.
  12. I’m not sure when they opened but I applied a few weeks ago in August.
  13. Hi, Is anyone else interviewing for a new grad RN position at UCLA? I have an interview scheduled in a couple of weeks for the ICU and I haven’t seen many people talking about their new grad program so I thought I’d start a thread ?
  14. Mine hasn't changed either ? Trying to stay hopeful for both of us
  15. I was not an extern, but in their info session they said around 50% of the last cohort had Kaiser experience so they definitely give strong preference to people who worked or rotated at Kaiser
