UCLA New Grad Residency Winter 2021

Hello everyone!☺️

UCLA opened their New Grad applications for the January/February 2021 cohort a few days ago. I opened this thread so we can keep each other updated. I submitted an application recently and wanted to see if anyone has been contacted yet! Who else applied? ?‍♀️Zoom Interviews start the week of Dec 14. It seems like they are going to be making decisions quick?

Haha I was just looking to see if anyone created a forum for this! Not only is the turn around quick, it is interesting how they are doing this year. The 1st six months we would be doing COVID related work, then we transition into a nursing unit for the last six months. I'm excited nonetheless!

A new graduate position that starts off in an outpatient setting is definitely different from the rest of the applications I have seen so far. Has your application status been updated yet?

I got an email from recruitment to schedule my interview next week. Based on slots (a lot have been filled), it looks like people are being notified on a rolling basis. Wish everyone good luck!

That’s great!! How long after submitting your application did you get an email?

I applied on 12/6 noon, got my assessment email that night. Then I got my interview invite on Monday. So fairly quickly.

@krisphil18 Hi May I ask you whether you are internal or external applicant? Also, can you tell approximately how many spots left for interview? I applied on 12/4, still in review status, but no email or update since then. I am so anxious!

I applied internal on Monday 12/9, got my assessment that day and received an email to schedule an interview the same night. They must be really in need to hire. on the app we didn't get to choose what unit we wanted but in the invite email it says it will be a panel interview with 3 unit directors I wonder what units they will be from

I haven't received and interview email but I haven't received a rejection email either anyone else on the same boat?
