I'm posting this as the UCLA Health applications open up today for Summer 2023. Want to have a chance to connect!

I think this depends on the unit but from how they explained it in my interview, I will be doing both days and nights during my orientation but when I'm on my own, I will only be night shift.

Oh I hope that is the same for me! I wouldn't mind rotating only during orientation. I believe orientation is only 6-8 weeks so I don't mind touching up for that amount of time. But rotating throughout the whole year would be wild LOL. Thanks for clearing that up

I turned down my offer for RR perinatal  this week. Good luck to everyone!!

Do you happen to know how many people they were hiring? And what day you received the offer?

Anyone hear from SM 4NW?

I haven't heard from them.

Last year the orientation schedule was as follows: month 1 - days, month 2 - nights, month 3 - days.  Not all new grads are released from orientation right at the 90 day mark. If orientation is extended, new nurses continue to be at the mercy of management as they continue to be paired with preceptors, thus matching their schedule. After that there is a monthly scheduling process where nurses submit their preferences including requests for AM shifts, PM shifts, R for off, etc.

Did your offer state "rotating shifts" only? Because my offer says "12 hour night shifts and/or day/night rotation.” The recruiter who gave me the offer told me it would be primarily nights but may be asked to do a day shift occasionally, but nothing about switching monthly or having to request primary shift as my primary shift is supposedly nights already

Has anyone located a link to the newest/current contract (effective July 9, 2022 - October 31, 2025)  that includes updated wage tables?

I also got an offer yesterday. Is anyone familiar with the rotating shifts? Has anyone had this explained in how this works? My offer says I will work nights and/or day/night rotation which is worded oddly. Seems pretty intense to ask us to do both ?

Nice! What department if you don't mind ? ?

Got called Tuesday 5/30. No idea how many spots this year though!

Did anyone receive an offer with no phone call? Also, for those who have had offers, have you been contacted regarding onboarding yet?

As soon as you accept the offer online, you will be instantly prompted to schedule your new hire zoom session and be given your information to create your onboarding  portal. I personally received a call first and then got the email right after we hung up. If you got an email offer expect a call soon, probably tomorrow

Wow so I got my offer letter on 5/23 and accepted it on 5/26. When I accepted it, I was not redirected to a new hire zoom scheduler. I have emailed Nicholas and Erick regarding this issue to no response and have not been able to reach them through Nicholas's phone number provided either. I guess I'll try and call them tomorrow morning
