Hi everyone! Please share your experience, tips, updates, etc concerning UCLA's New Grad Residency beginning in March 2023.

Hi I heard back on 12/21 ish about the PICU despite my portal saying 'closed' by the delayed Friday date. They gave me the offer to sign within those 3 days so it says '5 PICU' on my portal as part of m job offer. Did anyone else get the offer later? Would love to connect ❤️

Hi @newgradnursing333 ? I received an offer two days after I received a rejection email. I received a rejection on 12/17 and got an offer on 12/19. I believe someone declined their offer and I was the backup. I will be working in the perinatal unit at RR

Congrats on the offer for the perinatal unit ! So far, your the only other person I know who also got an offer for the perinatal unit ! I will also be in the perinatal unit but at SM ! ? Have you heard about what the residency is like for the perinatal unit ? Also, are you following the fb group yet? I’d love to connect !

I've heard that they'll start us off in postpartum for 6 months-1 year before having us go to L&D. I'm not sure if that's still part of the process tho

And yes I am following the FB group!

Just heard back from PICU and got an offer a little over a week ago. Just wanted to share because I had fully given up at this point. They definitely have a backup list for when things don't work out with a candidate, so even if the chances are slim, if you haven't received a definitive no there's always a chance.

Hello!

I am applying to UCLA's program tomorrow and wanted to ask what address everyone used in their cover letters? I know there are various locations but I am not sure if there is a general one? or did everyone use the address of their preferred location? Since the program applications open tomorrow, I still don't know which locations are offering which positions. Thank you in advance for a response ?
