UCLA 2023 Residency Program

Hi everyone! Please share your experience, tips, updates, etc concerning UCLA's New Grad Residency beginning in March 2023.

Anyone hear back from SM 6NW yet? ? Also wondering if we would get rejections today too

From the looks of it, during the last cycle they sent out offers past their original “last date” ?

I got RR 6ICU offer around 15:36 today.

I also got my offer for RR 6ICU today! Does yours also mention having rotating shifts or possible relief shifts? Also wondering, did your letter mention any shift differentials? Can't find any info about that...

So it’s after 5pm, is it officially over for us lmao

My offer letter did not mention any rotating shifts or possible relief shifts. I’m at SM, so it did mention I will be floating to RR sometimes.

However, almost a week later I got the call from the recruiter who stated that the residency includes a mixture of rotating shifts, we could be working a mixture of days and nights ?? LOL and he did mention differentials over the phone.

I went to their info ses in oct, they said that night differential should be $6. IDK if they have weekend differential or not. Mine also mentioned rotating shifts and possible relief shifts as well, which means working 4 days a week? LOL

oooh thank you for sharing! and glad to know it wasn't just me who got the relief shifts LOL. Are you going to accept the offer? If so, look forward to meeting you in a few months!

Would you be able to share the shift differentials he told you over the phone? I would assume they're all pretty similar since its union?

Do you know if there is a weekend differential?

Yes there is weekend differential. Night differential is $6.00. He mentioned that day weekend differential was $2.75, he didn’t mention the night differential I don’t think he could find the exact info at the time but there definitely is a weekend night diff if I’m assuming at-least 3.00. Also, I’m not sure what the rate is on your offer letters, but he said the base rate will be going up when we start in March.
