The application for the new grad program at UCLA for the Winter 2016 cohort opens today. Finally! It feels like I've been waiting in anticipation for so long. Any other hopefuls applying for this cohort? I figured I'd start a thread so we could update each other on the status of our applications and such... I know I've poured over many threads from the past cohorts to try to get more info!
MICU was my first and PICU was my second, getting worried as a lot of my peers who applied after me have been routed to interviewing supervisor and my status still says online assessment completed...
I just wish they would immediately change the status to alternate candidate if they don't want you.
And if last years thread gives any insight to what will happen this year ....

Awesome! I chose the same areas, and in the same order.
My status still hasn't changed, and I am beginning to worry that they are not interested because I've had other (although non-RN) jobs. Anyone else here had a previous career or know of someone who was selected for this program with significant work experience behind them? I am a good candidate and can't see any reason that they wouldn't want to at least give me an interview. Back to waiting...
I have a previous career in mental health services and working in domestic violence shelters. Nursing is my second degree. I applied for perinatal, ED, and psych. My online application status changed 10/29.
To my fellow new grads struggling with the California Board of Nursing... I made a parody video of Adele's "Hello" to deal with my frustration. I hope it brings you a tiny bit of laughter.
