UCLA New Grad Program Winter 2016

Published

Hi everyone!

The application for the new grad program at UCLA for the Winter 2016 cohort opens today. Finally! It feels like I've been waiting in anticipation for so long. Any other hopefuls applying for this cohort? I figured I'd start a thread so we could update each other on the status of our applications and such... I know I've poured over many threads from the past cohorts to try to get more info!

Good luck everyone who is applying!

Looking at the sign up times for my interview it looks like there were around 10-12 spots.. so if they hire 1 or 2 of us for that one unit that's around 10%. Probably somewhat accurate. I would think each unit only has a few spots :)

Kayla, $1000 is a lot. I hope they invite you back in that day for the second interview or you just wow them with the first one and they ask for your references right away :) Good luck!

Hi! I received my email last night and I chose dec 2nd at 10am. Hopefully we can be co-workers if we make it through this :)

Hey Cali_love, I am schedule for my interview at the same time for OR. :-D good luck!

if you want to chat my email is [email protected]

Hello Everyone,

Congratulations to everyone who was selected for the interview! One step closer.

I will be flying down from Sacramento to interview for an ED position this week and I am sending positive vibes to all of us who will be going through the process this week! Exciting!

Hey! I am interviewing for the ED as well on the 3rd, there were only 4 or 5 time slots to choice from, do you think that means they are only interviewing that many people? P.S. I am also from Sacramento :)

Everyone is so pleasant there! Interview was yesterday, now the waiting game agaaaaain.

I agree. Such nice people! I interviewed yesterday for OR. I feel like it went well...but you never know! Anyone else interview for OR? Hate the waiting game...

I will be flying out at 5am on Thurs. Hopefully we both do well!

@C_Blue2015, thank you for sharing your experience!

I will be interviewing with the PICU next week! Like you, I've precepted in the PICU at another hospital, and have scored an interview with them, but didn't receive an offer when I didn't have my license either. UCLA is my 1st choice, and I was wondering if you'd mind sharing what your experience was like with the PICU team? Or if you had any tips/advice for the 1st round of interviews? :) It would be greatly appreciated, and I wish you the best of luck on your OR interview!!

Hi Task816,

i also interviewed for OR. Everyone was so nice. Now the waiting game... Good luck to us.

Also congrats to everyone who scored an interview. That alone is a pretty big deal. I'm sure hundreds and hundreds applied.

I just found this page tonight. I am interviewing tomorrow for psych.
