Wow that’s awesome! Congrats!! Did you both get a call or were they both emails? And did your status on the application change?

Mine was an email. My review status in the portal has changed to not submitted and the offer letter is at the top of my profile

Mine as well!

For those that have accepted a position, have you all signed an official contract yet? I'm still waiting for a contract.

For those that have accepted the position, where do you plan to live? I'm not familiar with the area! Does anyone have recommendations on specific apartment complexes or landlords to reach out to?

I’ve also been trying to figure out, and would appreciate recommendations something close by so I was looking into century city, Santa Monica, and Culver City

Hi, I have also received an offer and accepted the position, mine came a bit late on last Friday the 19th. I am an internal transfer within UCLA. I’m planning to relocate to Torrance and I have coworkers living there, they said commute is within 30 mins, also Culver City/Santa Monica are the closest to UCLA.

Hi yea those are the right places to look into. I’m also trying to figure out since I’m relocating from Orange County. One of my coworker friends lives in Torrance, and I might be staying at her place, she said it’s a good area to live in and it’s safe, you can get to work within 30mins. She used to be working at the RR UCLA main OR as well, the commute was fine for her.

How was her commute home? I tried mapping it out and it says the commute there is within 30 minutes but the commute home seems like it'll be over an hour. What was her experience like?

So yeah going to work will be smoother than coming home for sure cuz of the LA TRAFFIC… especially around the time we are finishing up like 3:15pm. That’s when the traffic starts to get heavy both ways and it will take you time to go home. I live pretty far right now and I work night shift normally going home will kinda double the time than coming to work cuz of the heavy traffic. She works day shift now and goes home after work at 7:30pm, but the traffic is inevitable tho even at that time.
