Hi everyone,
I created this thread for those who applied to the UCLA OR Training Program starting Fall 2022- October, so we can talk about updates and new progresses.
I submitted my application today!

You are welcome!! ? yea if we all decided to live in LA that’s what’s gonna happen… Orange County is a lot better but it’s also too far away… we will be in the same cohort, just ask if you have any questions!
Hi, I got my acceptance letter last week for the OR training program and accepted the offer. I was wondering for those who accepted their offer, have you received any updates on the onboarding process? I wasn't sure if I missed the email or a call from the recruiter. Thank you so much in advance

Hi! There were a few details on that first week in the offer letter! Monday and Tuesday will be online (I think) and then Wednesday through Friday is in person for all New Grad Nurses. The following week we'll start with specific department orientation
Hello! I got an offer from Santa Monica Main OR in late July. I had to contact the talent acquisition staff to have the recruiters send out the onboarding document requirements on August 25th (uploading documents/social security, ID badge photo, and licenses into eBox, filling out section 1 of the the I-9 tracker and having your authorized agent sign section 2, the Cornerstone Onboarding Portal, the HIPAA Training Video). Since then I have not heard anything besides the fact that the onboarding session on 9/22/22 will take place from 1000-1100.
Has anyone received any additional emails other than the ones listed above from the recruitment staff? Also, has anyone created a facebook group/What’s App group chat?

Hi! I'm in the same boat. Haven't heard anything other than the onboarding session on 9/22. Also, I don't think there's been a group created yet!

Got it!! I suppose we will just wait until the onboarding zoom session. If I receive anything else, I will post on this forum of course!

Hi, just flew to visit UCLA health Westwood area to find a place to live. My cousins who live nearby says 30 min is an hour more or so and it is. We drive and visit nearby city during busy and slow traffic still took us 1 hour from citadel to UCLA. I visited Westwood area apartments nearby 7-15 min walk to UCLA minus the parking fee for employees . One building has traders Joe , walk to whole foods , target etc etc . 2 bedroom usually occupied by 4 ppl with washer and dryer, spa/pool, parking , gym etc for $5500 plus utilities . Village loft for 3 bedroom shared by 6 somewhat $850 per person . Here’s the link https://www.apartments.com/village-lofts-furnished-for-6-825-person-los-angeles-ca/b1sh6nc/
I also talk to one of the landlord at furnished finder 25 min away , she says one of the UCLA nurse moving out because the traffic is ridiculous with 6 months probation personally I feel being near the hospital would be better until we find the right place.
I hope this helps.
