UCLA New Grad OR Training Program Fall 2022

Hi everyone,

I created this thread for those who applied to the UCLA OR Training Program starting Fall 2022- October, so we can talk about updates and new progresses. 
I submitted my application today!

Hi guys! Was wondering if you all heard of any other details regarding our OR new grad program after the onboarding session last 9/22? Will most of us start on Oct 30? I also emailed the recruiter if they are going to allow us to pick up surgical scrubs for uniforms for orientation week. Still waiting to hear back and will update if I get any response. 

Also, would it be helpful if we all start a FB group?

Hi there,

I haven't heard any further details since the onboarding session on 9/22. To my understanding, the first day is October 31st (through Zoom I believe), and our managers will contact us with more information the week before we begin our residency. I emailed the recruiter and even tried calling about the scrubs for orientation as well but to no avail; no one has responded.

I feel as if a FB group would be extremely helpful. Has anyone started one yet?

Hi I actually can’t find the FB group, can you post the link? Also, some of us are at the Santa Monica location. 
I also tried to ask about the parking and uniform distribution today but my onboarding recruiter mentioned that it is probably best to get ahold of our unit manager so they can point us to the right direction. For the Santa Monica location, they sent a parking form that needs to be signed if you want $88.75 deducted monthly.

When I called the uniform center, they mentioned to also email our manager so we can gain permission to pick up the dark blue scrubs since it is department specific (sterile field, etc)

Hello,

I’m going to be interviewing for OR - RR new grad position this coming week. I’m so nervous and not sure what to expect. I’m  hoping maybe some of you who have interviewed and gotten offered the position at RR OR could help guide me on what types of questions were asked.. was it a panel interview, and were the interviewers nice? In my email, it’s saying I’m only interviewing with 1 person.. Any tips would be appreciated ? thank you!! ❤️

Hey I went back to this thread because I’m in the same situation you were in. Did you receive an offer past the last day they said it would be. For us last offers are suppose to be this Friday dec 9 but I haven’t seen anyone receive an offer or change in status for the OR. I’m hoping it’s the same as y’all.

Heyyyy have you heard back yet? I’m still waiting! I interviewed with RR as well!

Hey still nothing over here. But I’ve still have yet to see someone get an offer for the OR. Fingers crossed they are just late.

I really think OR is going to be the last unit sending out offers. From this thread it seemed like they sent it past the last day.. so we might even hear back on Monday.l ?

Yess that’s what I was thinking. I just hate the waiting game LOL. I believe we will hear back ?
