UCLA New Grad OR Training Program Fall 2022

Hi everyone,

I created this thread for those who applied to the UCLA OR Training Program starting Fall 2022- October, so we can talk about updates and new progresses.

Hi,

im interview for RR this coming up week and haven’t been able to find anything about the interview process. Do you mind sharing how it went for you? I’m just curious if it’s behavioral and personality questions or if I need to be prepared for scenarios. Thanks in advance!

It was more behavioral I'd say. They asked me where I see myself in 5 years, to discuss my clinical experiences, and they asked me what procedures I'd seen/been a part of (colonoscopies, bronchoscopies, etc..) since I was applying for MPU. Hope this helps!

For those that interviewed, was it a panel interview ? My email said I’m only interviewing with 1 person. Thank you!!

Good luck to everyone interviewing and good job to everyone who has already! Any thoughts from those that finished? I’m expecting behavioral questions however I wouldn’t be surprised if they threw out a scenario or two.

I just finished mine this afternoon. It was with 2 interviewers. Mostly behavioral questions. I had no scenario questions, surprisingly. They were both really friendly, engaged, and spoke as if it were a conversation.

Oh wow which location did you interviewed for? And how long was your interview? Best of luck to you!!

Thanks! I interviewed for the Ronald Reagan location. It was about 25 mins long. 
 

I can’t remember when they said offers would start. Was it August 12?

Oh nice! Really hope you get the position ? Did you by any chance send out a thank you email? 

 I interviewed for the WW location. My interviewer didn’t tell me when offers would be sent out. She only mentioned they just started the interview process and will reach out to me if further information is needed. My interview only took 20 minutes. At this point I’m not feeling so great but staying hopeful!!

I didn’t send a thank you email.. that’d probably be a great idea though. When was your interview?

August 12th is the last day for offers to be sent out. My interviewer said they're doing some more interviews next week and will let HR know their decision after that and that we should be getting an email from HR by the 12th.

OMG thank you for the info!! My interviewer didn’t mention anything about offers so I’m a bit bummed ?  Do you mind to share which location you interviewed for?
