  1. Hi, so I just made over a year working as a Med/Surg acute care RN in a hospital. I know now that I want to move away from the bedside, but have had absolutely no luck getting even interviews for anything away from the bedside for the past couple months of applying. Well, a new job posting just opened up internally, for a case management position. The problem is, that I am 1 year short of the required experience. Is it worth submitting interest and letting my manager know on the off chance I get an interview? I'm worried that if I don't get the job, that my boss will now know I have one foot out of the unit and will either treat me differently/at the worst fire me. Thoughts?
  2. Hello! I realize this is very out of the blue, however I have been looking into RN case management remote jobs and noticed that you have mentioned the many pros in the insurance company you are working for. Would it be possible to DM me more info on your company? I just have seen so many horror stories and awful employee reviews of insurance companies so knowing off the bat a company that treats their employees well would help with one hurdle. If not, totally understandable, and if you happen to have any tips on breaking into this field, I’d appreciate it vastly. Thank you!
  3. Hi, can I ask what nursing background you had that wasn’t bedside? I want to break into a remote case management role as well but so far I’ve only seen the requirements including experience in the acute care setting.
  4. Hmm I wouldn't be surprised if they gave preference to UCSD graduates, but hey you still have experience under your belt. Good luck to us!
  5. No I unfortunately didn't get to do clinicals there due to the pandemic :(. How about yourself?
  6. Hi all! Just thought I'd chime in and say I just had a phone screening for OR and they told me if I move on to interviews, they'll have it through zoom since I'm out of state. Still no word on references/interview.
  7. I’m also thinking that too, especially when comparing timelines from previous cohorts on this site. Although it’d be nice to hear from someone who’s gotten an offer so we know for sure.
  8. I do, yeah. Welp, at least you tried, all we can do is wait ?
  9. Mine now says Modified 8/1? Argh this wait is torture
  10. I think RR was one of the last locations to be interviewed so I'd maybe give it another week or so, crossing my fingers for us!
  11. Mine says last modified 7/27/22…why are the years different? Still no idea what that means though.
  12. Good luck to everyone interviewing and good job to everyone who has already! Any thoughts from those that finished? I’m expecting behavioral questions however I wouldn’t be surprised if they threw out a scenario or two.
  13. Ah, gotcha, thanks so much for replying and congrats to your friend!
  14. Hi! I haven't seen anyone who has interviewed for OR yet, might've just missed it, but if you have been interviewed could you please let me know? Don't know if they're just taking a while or if I should just move on at this point...
