UCLA MSN/APRN FALL 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey y’all! I wanted to start a thread for the UCLA MSN Fall 2021 cohort! Finalized my application in January so I’ve been playing the waiting game for about a month now...?

What program did you guys apply for? Has anyone gotten any correspondence from anyone on the Admissions committee ?? Any inside scoop on the notification timelines?

Best of luck to everyone!

?? ?ℝ??ℕ?! ?

I have to take both! Email Mark and he'll send you the link to register for physiology but I don't think we can register till we get the graduate division acceptance. He let me know that we'll be emailed later on with instructions for the physical assessment. From what he told me the classes will run August 2- September 10.

I have to retake both as well so I’ll probably see you in class!

I attempted to register but couldn’t. Can you let me know when you receive the official acceptance? I’m anxious to finish all the logistical stuff and start enjoying my time before classes start.

Same me too! I definitely will!

Yes I also have to take both physiology and physical assessment before starting the program.

OMG!  It is so exciting to read everyone's awesome news!  I was accepted as well; thank God and the universe!  I received the notification on Wednesday, March 17th at around 3:00 p.m.  My last name starts with an "F."  I too have to retake Physio, but not Physical Assessment.  I asked "MC" if I can take it at my local community college (less expensive), he said yes and sent me a list of approved courses so I know exactly which class to take.  Also, I emailed "JG" letting her know of my intent to register, and she responded by letting me know that my official letter from Graduate Division will be released on 3/25.  Yay ?

Congratulations! I might end up taking Physiology at a community college too, but MC told me that Physical Assessment has to be taken at UCLA and that we won’t be able to register for it until we receive further notice. He said we should be able to register for Physiology though.

I still haven’t gotten the official letter yet, which is making me kind of anxious LOL

Guys, I received my official letter of admission today via email.  It came from the Interim Dean of the Graduate Division (initials SLE).

Hi!  Thank you!  Congratulations to you too!  I received the official letter of admission today via email.  Check your inbox again, it might already be there.  Also, check your spam folder, just in case.

Is anyone having trouble loggin to their UCLA graduate application? Apparently MC, and JG stated that I should have received my official letter, but have not received an email and they stated that I should check my graduate application, but can't loggin at the momment.

I’m able to login to my graduate application but there doesn’t appear to be any updates. I didn’t get the official letter yet either, and I’ve been checking my spam. I wonder if it has to do with the official transcripts arriving on time? One of my schools uses a third party service so it was a process requesting it.

Hi!  My application was updated with the official admission letter.  That is how I accessed it.  The email I received states that my application has been updated and refers me to sign in so I can read the update.  When I did that, the portal had changed completely and the letter was there (not in the actual email).  Also, I do not believe that official transcripts have anything to do with it because I did not submit official transcripts.  I submitted unofficial transcripts and my letter has been issued.  Hope this helps.

Hi! I was just wondering if anyone has any updates on the official acceptance letter? Thank you!

I still haven’t gotten it but I emailed MC because I kept getting an error message telling me to submit my SIR when I tried to register for Physiology. His response: “UCLA Graduate Division is unable to officially admit you until they receive your official transcript which I received on Friday and uploaded today. It may take a few days for them to process it. Once that happens, they will send you the official admit letter so you can complete your SIR and SLR. From there, you will be able to enroll in N3. N3 is online and has unlimited number of seats available so you will not lose out on enrolling.”

I know someone else got an official letter without sending in transcripts, so I’m not sure why there is a discrepancy. But hope that helps!
