I just wanted to start this thread for those who are applying to Clinical Nurse I positions at UC Irvine Medical Center! There's not that much info on what to expect so if you have any insight on the applications/timeline/interview process/etc. please feel free to share here ?
I've applied to 5 Clinical Nurse I positions since January and the status for 2 of them have changed from "Application Received" to "Application Under Review". Not loving the waiting game, but I'm happy to see something change.

Mine changed to this as well! Fingers crossed that is a good sign!!
So is my status is "under consideration", but oh man. That's crazy. Now I don't how to feel abt this organization, but I'm trying to keep my hope up.

So I applied to the oncology unit April 9th, and my status this week just changed to “no longer under consideration” after over 6 weeks of it saying “application under review.” I never got an email or an interview. I emailed HR and they never responded. I would definitely not wait on UCI if you have other offers.

Exact same position! I would definitely not wait on UCI. Went from "under review" to "no longer under consideration" for both the Stepdown posted a few months back and Oncology after a 3+ month wait.
Oh WOW!...okay thank you for sharing. Yeah if you guys have been waiting that long then I’m definitely just going to keep moving forward and not count on hearing from them. It’s really disappointing though that they make their candidates wait that long and then not even notify them via email or anything! I mean you’ve been waiting since April?! That’s just wrong. also, does anyone have any insight on starting pay, starting dates and whether they accept ADN’s with BSN in progress? I know what the applications say and that they’re magnet and all that... but does anyone have any actual evidence (maybe know of someone who was hired with an ADN or someone who was denied and told it was because they didn’t have BSN yet etc) I’m just wondering if exceptions are ever made. TIA
It was my understanding (from speaking with current UCI employees) that they only accept those who already completed their BSNs if they are external hires. I think they may accept ADNs with BSN in progress for internal hires only.
