UCH Interview...What are my chances?

U.S.A. Colorado

I have an interview on the 6th. I am trying not to get my hopes up, but I would really love to be in this residency program. From what I hear it's amazing. I wish I could talk to someone who is in it now and see what they think of it. I know they get a huge number of applicants. Does anyone know how many people they interview? I am interviewing for a med-surg position, probably in general surgery.

Specializes in OB-Gyn/Primary Care/Ambulatory Leadership.

Many of my coworkers are currently in the program, or have just finished it. I know it's highly competitive. I don't know numbers, but I can ask tonight at work if you want. All of my coworkers who have done the program speak very highly of it. I know there's a big capstone-type project you have to create/present towards the end.

Would you mind asking your coworkers for me? That would be awesome! I am practicing interview questions like crazy. I'm nervous they are gonna ask me a question and I won't be able to think of anything! Ugh lol. Any advice they have would be much appreciated!!

hello, adamsli88 ...

have you heard anything re: the status of your uch interview? i interviewed as well and was under the impression we would hear today.

thanks!

Yes, they sent me an e-mail offering me the job. However, I'm actually going to be taking a different job in Oregon so I will be turning the offer down. Good for someone else though! :-) I don't know why they are doing e-mails. It seems kind of impersonal. The recruiter said to e-mail her back to set up an appointment to talk to her about the job tomorrow.

When did you receive this email?

But I know she's been letting people know since Monday if they got the job or not

Ok, thanks for the update.

Sorry. One more question....what units did you apply for and what unit where you offered a position in? Just curious because a few of us haven't heard anything either way and were just trying to get a feel for how things may work out.

Thanks again.

Oh and of course....CONGRATS on the job in Oregon! Are you from there?
