Hello!
The application window starts January 1st, which is a couple weeks away from now. I am excited to apply though and see what happens. Who else is planning to apply here?
I am planning on applying to both the accelerated and traditional pathways.
Thank you for letting me know!!
I am so torn about whether or not I should take the TEAS again
To be completely honest I studied my butt off the first time and I read thr ATI book cover to cover. I feel burnt out w it I guess. I know that I want this program more than anything. Its practically all Ive been thinking about. Thats why I do not understand why I am so hesitant and unmotivated to take the test again.
That and I cant take it again til the 6th. If the deadlines is the 15th then is there a guarantee that UCF Nursing Dept will get my scores in time? Like do u all think my scores would come in on time?
4.0gpa overall and pre req
82.7TEAS
Well, it doesn't hurt to take it again. If you do, and order a transcript the same day, UCF should receive it in time based on what ATI told me. But I would ask the CON to ensure they will. It won't hurt to try again. If you do better, then you can up your chances. If not, at least you tried. If you don't mind my asking, what did you do best in and what did you do the worst in?
Quick question for anyone able to answer.
I've already been provisionally accepted to UCF itself. I have thus far already submitted two transcripts to them, all of which show I have completed my pre-requisites. If I understood the woman at the front desk of the CON, I don't need to submit a transcript from my current college to the CON as well? I'm getting confused on whether or not my application has all the papers it needs or not.
Ali Adela,
You and I both scored the same thing on the TEAS - 82.7
I am also having a hard time getting motivated to take the test again. Luckily for you, you have a perfect prerequisite score and I have a 3.88 . (3.78 Overall GPA).
Part of me feels unmotivated because I did spend so many hours studying for it just fall flat on my face or at least what I perceive to be a failure. It is also disheartening to see so many people able to walk in with only a couple days of studying or less and get an 88-92 on it. A good friend of mine I took Microbiology with didn't even study for it and got an 88.
I took the TEAS at UCF and I know the scores are automatically sent to the University at no extra charge. I would also advise if you do retake the test - to try and take it at UCF in order to avoid any kind of issue. I am going to take it again but im also right in the middle of taking Anatomy and Physiology II which has a dissection and a test the same week I will be taking the TEAS the second time. Needless to say, I am ultra unmotivated to put in the hours studying for the test again and taking a whole day off work again for this test.
So happy to have found this website/thread! I knew I couldn't be the only applicant practically tearing their hair out waiting for the decisions to be sent out already! I always thought I was a patient person.. I guess I'm not when it is something I truly want! I just read through the entire thread (stalker status lol) so I figured I would add my stats as well.
Overall GPA 3.7
Prereq GPA 3.88
TEAS 88
Formerly proud of those numbers, and now freaking out after having learned that many of you have 4.0s and TEAS in the 90's!
Anyone else feel like a moron when studying for TEAS math? I was surprised to see how much simple math I had forgotten how to do! I ended up magically getting a 97% in the math section, so apparently my studying helped. But, wow! Never realized how dependent I had become on calculators :-/
Just sent my background check/fingerprints in last week and am unsure of the results. Hoping that "no records found" means I passed? I think I'll take someone's advice earlier & just call and check to be safe.
Good to have found this thread. Its nice to know we're not going through this anxiety alone! :)
Welcome! Yes, I believe no records found is basically stating you passed it. Meaning they couldn't find any records so you haven't done anything in their books, which is good.
Your stats are great! My pre-req is identical to yours.
I know what you mean about the calculators. You really do become dependent on them.

Same issue with me. I took pre-calc and trigonometry about a year ago, and received a C in both. I have no F's and only a handful of B's. Somehow, with almost 60 credit hours, those two stupid C's bring my GPA down to a 3.579. Really aggravating.
Funny enough, my grandmother swears it's super duper hard (Or impossible she says sometimes) to raise any children and maintain a house as a nurse without hiring help to clean your house and such. I'm wondering if this is due to the time frame she worked (1970s-1990s) and that perhaps this has changed somewhat. Or maybe just because, in her time, more was expected of a wife? Not sure. But I don't expect it will be easy to maintain a home and kids with this career. Nothing makes it easy, even without a job.
