Are there any other Spring 2014 hopefuls for the concurrent program??
Good luck to everyone applying.
I knew I was not going to get in to the concurrent program based on my low cumulative GPA but I still applied to concurrent and generic hoping that applying to both programs would give me an advantage. I received my rejection email to the concurrent program, will I get a second email for the generic program or am I out of the running for the basic rn as well?
Thank you for applying to the Spring 2014 Seminole State College of Florida RN-BSN Concurrent Nursing program. We regret to inform you that you have not been admitted at this time
The bootcamps are great for getting to know your fellow students and professors. My only experience with bootcamps was when I volunteered through SNA. I was not accepted right away into the program. I was an alternate. Fortunately, I got a phone call from UCF on the last possible day before starting, so I missed the bootcamps and I had to rush to get all my requirements done. It all worked out in the end, but I still wish I didn't miss them.
If you guys have any questions about anything in the program, I am happy to answer them as best I can.
I got in as well!! I am so excited! I applied for the Fall 2013 UCF/SSC Concurrent program but didn't get in for multiple reasons (though I was placed on the alternative list). I was in the process of finishing up my pre-requisites and retaking a few classes in order to bump up my pre-req GPA. For Fall, my cumulative GPA was 3.3, my pre-req GPA was 3.4, and my TEAS was an 85.3%. However, after I retook those classes and finished my pre-requisites my cumulative GPA is almost a 3.5 and my pre-req GPA is a 3.9! I guess it was finally good enough to get in!

I'm not sure what the problem was this semester. It was on SSC end for sure. As long as you do what needs to be done for paperwork, your FA should go thru fine (except this semester:nailbiting:).
Congrats! Get ready for a wild ride!!!!!
