UCF Fall 2016 Traditional BSN Applicants

Published

Hello Guys!

I know in years past there have been threads created where people could share their stats and discuss the application process. The window to apply for Fall 2016 is right around the corner (Jan. 15 - Feb. 15) and I was surprised to not find a thread.

If you feel like sharing:

Overall GPA-

TEAS-

Prereq GPA-

I will add mine separately from the post! I hope we are all accepted and are able to turn this thread into a place where we can help each other out through the application and waiting processes!

I have not. I plan to send my reply when I get home this afternoon. Eager to receive more information.

Got my email yesterday around 3:30 :) & already replied to RSVP last night! So excited! Congratulations to everyone!

Awesome! I RSVP'd too!! :) what did you say? I just wrote something like I accept my invitation and I RSVP.

I wrote "I am replying to RSVP my spot in the program." Lol I didn't know what else to put but I think that should be fine, can't wait to get more info!! :)

So excited for all of us :) haven't gotten any more info yet! But I'm sure we will soon

Glad I wasn't the only one unsure what to put in the reply! Now it's back to waiting for another email with more information :dead:

WOOOHOOO!!! SO GREAT TO MEET YOU GUYS!!!! I already emailed the RSVP and sent a separate email to UCF nursing to see when I should be getting a reply! Hahahah! I am on my toes!!!

Stats:

Pre-req GPA: 4.0

Overall GPA: 3.97

Teas: 82%

I know I am a little late to post.... But just in case a future applicant is reviewing all of these comments:

I spent my first semester at UF, then transferred and did all other credits at Valencia Community college. Some credits I got from AP classes, but I did most courses at Valencia. Also, I took biology instead of chemistry, which UCF does not judge you by either.

This goes to show that UCF is unbiased about where you came from. They are strictly academic. Some courses are harder at University level than community college level (obviously) but it comes down to how rigorous you are as a student. Maybe I got accepted due to the fact that UCF saw I started at UF, or maybe they truly do accept the highest GPAs/test scores. Just never give up and do not get discouraged... We are all living proof that hard work pays off!!!!

Awesome Etorr! Let us know if they get back to you with anything! Is anyone coming to the program as a transfer student? If so, have you registered for ucf's General orientation yet? I just did ! :)

I am transferring in. I was waiting for decisions before registering for orientation. I should do it now since I am officially UCF Bound!

Thank you so much!! I hope we all get to meet each other!! Maybe I should wear a badge that says "Hi, I'm etorr" Lol!

Anyways, I was wondering if incoming nursing students have their own orientation? I have been waiting for the second email to see if that would clarify it so I dont sign up for the wrong orientation.

Also, I realize that if we are transfer students we have to complete an immunization document which we can find under "Holds" in you MyUCF page! I heard you had to do it before orientation... I am not sure

We'll probably be wearing name tags the first time we meet, so I chose a username with my actual name. I guess you could write 'etorr' below your actual name ;)

All nursing students do have their own orientation shortly before classes start, so I wouldn't be surprised if you can go to any old orientation session. You might want to send the College of Nursing or the admissions office a quick email, though.
